About The Taos Sleigh Platform Bed
The Taos Sleigh Bed will remind you of frosty evenings of snow, crackling fires and good cheer. The head and foot of the frame gently slope away from the mattress. The curved posts are joined by a hardwood dowel 1.5” in diameter and afford you the luxury of hanging an extra wool blanket or quilt, always necessary to have on hand for cold snowy nights.
The Taos Sleigh Bed is only available in twin, double, queen sizes and only in oak hardwood. It is finished with a clear Danish oil. Each bed has 11 horizontal 3” wide spruce slats that lie beneath the futon. Easily assembled with a rubber mallet and a screwdriver.
For those who are chemically and environmentally sensitive, the beds may be ordered without the Danish oil finish, and with poplar horizontal slats for an extra charge, rather than spruce.
