About Our Bed Frame Sizes All bed frames on PlatformBedsOnline.com are made to fit standard mattress sizes (size chart below). The dimensions listed in the dimensions tab are the exterior of the bed frame, not the mattress size. ALL King size bed frames are a Standard (or Eastern) King, unless specified. Standard King and Eastern King are used synonymously throughout the industry, and throughout our website. Cal (California) King beds are different from Standard (Eastern) King mattresses. California King mattresses are 4 inches longer and 4 inches narrower than Standard King mattresses. Also, unless otherwise specified, all bed frames are sold without the mattress, and DO NOT require a box spring.

I was reluctant to make such a large and long term purchase online but customer service at Platform Beds Online answered all of my questions regarding the manufacture of their product and helped me feel more comfortable about my purchase. The hook and pin system has been a tried and true system for many years. It is very sturdy and adjustable as well. The wood is solid, heavy, and good quality with a very even, smooth finish. The slat system is banded together and screwed down to prevent shifting and has 2 extra middle support legs. Two of us were able to assemble the bed in minutes. With just a pillow-top mattress and no box spring, the bed is extremely comfortable. Overall, I am very pleased with the product and service received from Platform Beds Online.
