The Black Irwin is much darker and has a uniform, high-gloss finish in a black color, which differs from the Ebony finish, which has a lighter, espresso finish with blonde stripes. In order to save on the price of this bed, the bed slats hidden from view under the mattress are made in China, however the rest of the bed and all case goods are made in Italy for superior quality.
